Product Description

The Ashab us-Suffah were companions of the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) who dedicated their lives to prayer and spiritual discipline, living in a platform area near the Masjid-e-Nabwi. They were mostly poor, and many of them survived by gathering wood and selling it. The Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) would often share food with them or ask other companions to host them for meals.
The exact number of Ashab us-Suffah is unknown, but it is estimated that the platform could hold up to three hundred people at any one time, with about seventy permanent residents. The initial inhabitants were those who had migrated from Makkah and were without accommodation.
Notable companions from the Ashab us-Suffah include Abu Huraira, Abu Dhar al-Ghifari, Huzaifah bin Yaman, and Salman al-Farsi (May Allah be pleased with them).
