Masjid Abuzar Ghifari
Masjid Abuzar Ghifari is situated 900 meters north of Masjid-e-Nabwi. It is also known as Masjid Sajdah after a significant event that occurred here with the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him).
Abdur Rahman bin Auf (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) came to a garden of the Baitul-Maal (treasury), offered prayer, and then went into a lengthy prostration. Concerned, Abdur Rahman bin Auf (May Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) if something had happened. The Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) explained that Jibraeel (Peace be upon him) had brought a message from Allah, saying: “He who sends salutations and peace upon you, I shall send mercy and blessings upon him.” The Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) had prostrated in gratitude for this bounty.
