Jabal Al-Noor (Mountain of Light)
Located northeast of Makkah, Jabal Al-Noor is where the Cave of Hira is situated, a site of immense spiritual significance. It was in this cave that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) received the first revelation of the Quran from the Angel Gabriel (Jibril) during the month of Ramadan. The mountain offers a panoramic view of the Holy Mosque and is a place of pilgrimage for Muslims who wish to reflect on the Prophet’s early life of meditation and worship.
