Product Description

The area between the Sacred Chamber and the Pulpit (Mimbar) is known as Riadhul Jannah, which means Garden of Paradise. This area is currently distinguished by a green carpet and is often referred to as ‘Rawdah.’
Abu Huraira (May Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Between my house and my pulpit lies a garden from the gardens of Paradise, and my pulpit is upon my fountain (Al-Kauthar).” [Bukhari]
Scholars have interpreted this as meaning that the Garden is parallel to a garden above it in Paradise or that it is indeed a garden of Paradise that will return to Paradise in the hereafter. It is also considered a garden of Paradise because the peace and tranquility experienced there when engaged in the remembrance of Allah resembles that of Paradise.
The original size of this area is approximately 22 meters in length and 15 meters in width, with part of it located inside the Sacred Chamber.
Mehrab (Prayer Niche): The Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) initially prayed towards Al-Quds in Jerusalem for about 16 months upon his arrival in Madinah. After the change in Qibla to Makkah, the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) began leading prayers at the spot where the Mehrab Nabwi now stands. It is important to note that there was no mehrab during the Prophet’s (Peace and blessings be upon him) time or the time of the four Caliphs.
In 91 AH, Umar bin Abdul Aziz constructed the prayer niche in the form of a mehrab, which has since been called Mehrab Nabwi.
